Born in Syracuse, New York, Katie Spies moved to Lufkin when she was 14 years old. A proud naturalized Texan, Katie and her family make their home in Nacogdoches and she can’t imagine living anywhere else. Katie has provided care to the East Texas area as a Registered Nurse for since 2012, starting in the Step Down Unit at the hospital. Katie joined A Pineywoods Home Health in 2014 with a focus on the company’s mission to improve the community’s health. Katie's motto is “put the patient first”! As part of the Administrative Team serving as an Alternate Administrator, Katie strives to provide the best care possible by giving the nursing and therapy staff all the tools possible to make that happen. It is Katie’s personal priority to ensure patients’ needs are met and they are provided the best tools and education to manage their health to improve their quality of life.
