Rum Cake

Ingredients:
1 pkg. Duncan Hines golden butter cake mix
1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
½ cup water
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup salad oil
½ cup rum

Directions:
Grease and flour a bundt cake pan well. Sprinkle pecans on bottom. Mix all ingredients together for two minutes. Pour over nuts. Bake 45 or 50 minutes in 350 degree oven. Remove from oven. Prick bottom of cake all over with toothpick.

Glaze Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter or margarine
¼ cup water
1 cup sugar
1 jigger (1 oz.) rum

Directions:
About five minutes before cake is removed from oven, boil butter, water and sugar until syrupy. Remove from heat. Add 1 oz. rum, pour slowly over cake in the pan. Let set for about one hour; don‟t take out too early or leave too long. Remove to cake plate.
