Mamaw’s Teacakes

Ingredients: 2 cups sugar

½ cup Crisco

½ cup Parkay (margarine)

2 eggs

2 or 3 tsp. vanilla

½ cup sweet milk

3 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

4 cups flour

Cream shortening, sugar, and margarine. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla to milk, then add to mixture. Sift dry ingredients together and add slowly to other mixture. Dough will be stiff. Place flour in small bowl and roll about 1 Tbsp. of dough into flour forming ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Pat gently. Bake at 350 degrees until golden color. Let set 5 minutes, cool on wire rack. My oven bakes these in 11-12 minutes.
