Cream Cheese Pound Cake

3 sticks butter (not margarine)
1 8 oz. cream cheese
3 cups sugar, sifted
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. almond flavoring
6 eggs
3 cups sifted “cake” flour

Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Add 2 eggs and mix well. Add 1 cup flour and mix well. Continue until all eggs and flour have been added. Add extracts. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and place in cold oven. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 ½ hours. Glaze if desired.

Boil together ½ jar pineapple preserves and 3 Tbsp. lemon juice. Drizzle over hot cake.
