Baked Potato Soup

4 large baking potatoes
2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup flour
6 cups milk
¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
4 chopped green onions
bacon (cooked crisp and crushed)
1¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
8oz sour cream

Bake potatoes at 400 degrees till done (approximately an hour). Cool, peel and crumble potatoes. Melt butter in a Dutch oven over low heat. Add flour, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Add potatoes, salt, pepper, onion, bacon and cheese. Cook until thoroughly heated. Stir in sour cream.
