April Westbrook for Julie Pipes
Dr. Craig McMullen’s Office
Ingredients: Self-rising flour
1-2 Tbsp. oil
Water, milk or buttermilk
Put some flour in a bowl, mix in the oil; add water, milk, or buttermilk. Stir until thick dough consistency. Pour onto floured wax paper. Pat and roll in flour until worked into log shape. Put some oil into bottom of baking pan. Pinch of dough to desired size, put into oiled pan and flip so oil is on both sides of biscuit. Do this until pan is full. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes or until knife inserted in middle of biscuit comes out clean. Put on broil or in bottom of stove to brown tops to desired taste. If you have extra dough left over, just add more of the liquid you chose until consistency of pancake mix and fry up some homemade pancakes (aka flitters & flapjacks).
